Which emails does Avvi send, and to whom?
Almost everything goes to your support mailbox. The one exception is a secure link, which goes to the person you are sending it to.
Almost every message Avvi sends goes to the support mailbox your organisation configured. That single address is the destination for notifications, escalations and summaries alike.
Two exceptions go to somebody else: a secure link, and a one-time password link sent to a manager you name. Both are addressed to a specific person you chose.
| Message | Goes to | When |
|---|---|---|
| Action notification | Your support mailbox, or the client’s own address if one is set | When a change is made, unless batched into a digest |
| Digest | Your support mailbox, or the client’s own address | Several actions in one conversation, grouped |
| Failure notification | Your support mailbox, or the client’s own address | When an action fails |
| Support escalation | Your support mailbox, or the client’s own address | When somebody asks Avvi to pass a request to your team |
| Daily summary | Your support mailbox | End of a day on which something changed |
| Secure link | The recipient you chose | When you share a credential |
| Secure link notice | Your support mailbox | Alongside the link, recording that you created one |
| One-time password link | The manager you named | When you reset or create an on-premises account and ask for a manager to be notified |
Good to know
Turning off the send switch stops everything addressed to your own mailbox, including the daily summary, and clears the stored address. A secure link still reaches its recipient.
A client can be given its own address, and it then receives every notification about that client rather than escalations alone. The daily summary always goes to the organisation’s address.
