Where each setting lives
Eleven sections under Settings, plus everything on a client's own record. This is the map for finding one without hunting.
Settings live at three levels. Settings covers your whole organisation, a client’s record covers that one company, and My Profile holds the few that are yours alone.
Knowing which of the three you want narrows the search immediately. If it should be true of every client, it is in Settings; if it is about one company, it is on their record; if it changes nothing for anybody else, it is on your profile.
The map below covers both, starting with your own Settings. The group names are the headings you scan first in the sidebar.
| Group | Section | Holds |
|---|---|---|
| Access | Users & Roles | Access groups, what each may do, and the master administrator |
| Access | Security | The address allowlist, and session and sign-in limits |
| Connections | Integrations | Connectors and the fleet page, the distributor connection, and Teams setup per client |
| Connections | Email & Notifications | The support mailbox, delivery method, and what Avvi emails |
| Connections | Quarantine Release | Requests waiting for approval |
| AI | AI Agent | Multi-tenant access, and nothing else |
| AI | Learning Engine | How Avvi improves from what it has done |
| General | Organization | Your own company details |
| General | Appearance | How the product looks |
| General | Subscription | What you are paying for |
| General | Usage | How much of your allowance is used, and the context budget |
A client’s own record carries as many sections again, reached by opening the client from My Clients.
| Group | Section | Holds |
|---|---|---|
| General | Overview | Consent, the tenant details, and removing the client |
| General | Usage & Limits | That client’s three figures, and the caps you set on them |
| Protection | Security | That client’s own address allowlist and session limits |
| Protection | User Access Control | Which of their groups may do what |
| Communication | Email Settings | Where that client’s notifications go |
| Communication | Integrations | Teams setup for that client |
| Communication | Connectors | Their on-premises machines |
Connectors appears only where the on-premises features are switched on for that client. A client without them shows six sections rather than seven.
On My Profile, reached by clicking your name at the bottom of the left sidebar: your display name, time zone, time format and language. There is no profile photo to set.
Good to know
If a control is greyed out, your account is not allowed to change it. The setting is not broken and nothing is missing from the page.
If a setting is absent rather than greyed, the feature is switched off for your whole organisation rather than for you.
If the control works and saving fails, Avvi replies “Master admin access required”. That is the same permission problem, reported when you save rather than before.
The connector fleet is reached through Integrations rather than from a top-level menu, which is where most people look first.
Quarantine Release appears in the list for everybody and its actions need global or master administrator access, so seeing it is not the same as being able to use it.
FAQ
Q: The setting is greyed out and I cannot change it.
A: Your account is not allowed to change that setting. Ask an administrator with full access to change it for you, or to add your group to the permission.
Q: Who do I ask to get access?
A: Any administrator with full access in Avvi. Tell them which setting you were trying to reach and what you needed to change.
