Why can I only see chat and nothing else?
Chat is the whole product for you. The settings and dashboards belong to the people who manage your Microsoft 365.
Chat is the whole of Avvi for you. There is no dashboard, no settings page and no menu, and nothing is hidden behind a permission you might one day be given.
The rest of the product is for the people who manage your company’s Microsoft 365. Their side has client records, access controls and reporting, none of which would mean anything from your seat.
Everything you can do, you do by asking.
How it works
Your version opens straight into a conversation, because that is the entire interface.
What you can ask for is decided by your IT team, and it is set per group. Two colleagues can have different answers to the same request.
Where something is outside what you are allowed, Avvi says so rather than hiding it. Being told you cannot do something is different from not knowing it exists.
Older conversations stay available, so coming back to one is how you find what happened previously.
Good to know
Nothing is missing from your screen. Somebody describing a page you cannot find is describing the administrators’ side of the product.
If you need something done that you cannot do yourself, asking Avvi to pass it to your IT team is the route, and it works from the same conversation.
What to do next
Ask for what you need in the conversation. That is the interface.
To find something you asked about before, scroll back or reopen the earlier conversation.
If you were told about a page and cannot find it, check whether the person describing it manages your Microsoft 365. They are probably describing their own view.
