Set your time zone and time format
Regional settings on your profile control the time zone Avvi works to. Until one is actively chosen, Avvi falls back to US Eastern.
Your profile carries the time zone Avvi works to and whether times show as 12-hour or 24-hour. Until somebody actively chooses a zone, Avvi falls back to US Eastern.
The time zone setting decides the hour every scheduled action runs at, so it is worth a minute now rather than a confusing result later.
Before you begin
You can change your own profile at any time. No administrator has to do it for you.
The setting applies to you alone. Changing it does not affect colleagues.
Anything already scheduled keeps the zone it was created with, so cancel and re-request anything time-sensitive after you change this.
Set your time zone
- Click your name at the bottom of the left sidebar, then open My Profile.
- Scroll to Regional settings.
- Open the Time zone list and choose your zone.
- Choose a Time format, either 12-hour or 24-hour.
- Click Save preferences.
The button is greyed out until something changes, so it becoming clickable shows Avvi registered your choice. Nothing is saved until you click it, and the confirmation appears once it saves.
Verify it worked
Start a new conversation. A conversation already open keeps the zone it was opened with, so testing in one you had running proves nothing.
In that new conversation, ask Avvi to schedule something harmless a few hours ahead, then ask it to list what is scheduled.
The hour it reports should match the hour you meant in your own zone.
If something doesn’t look right
If times still display in the wrong zone, check that you clicked Save preferences. Choosing a zone alone does not save it, and navigating away loses the change.
If the hour is still wrong in a conversation you opened after saving, name the zone in the request itself as a workaround, and open a support conversation from the Help drawer. Include your profile zone, the zone you meant, and the hour the action actually ran.
