Grant or end Avvi support access
Generate a code from the profile menu, and revoke it from the same place. Support sessions are read-only, and only one grant can be active at a time.
When Avvi’s support team need to see your portal to investigate something, you grant it rather than them taking it. Generating a code is what opens the door.
A support session is mostly read-only. Portal settings cannot be changed, but the AI chat is deliberately left open so support can reproduce a problem, which means a change can be made through it. Grant one when you want a problem investigated, not as a browsing-only guarantee.
Only one grant can be active at a time, and you end it yourself rather than asking support to stop.
Before you begin
Confirm the access is actually needed. Support will say when it is, and a description of the problem often gets further than a login.
Be ready to pass the code on securely. It is shown once and is not recoverable afterwards.
Grant it
- Open the profile menu in the sidebar.
- Choose Grant Access.
- Press the grant button in the dialog. A code appears.
- Copy the code and pass it to support through the channel you are already using.
The grant lasts seven days from creation. Redeeming it starts a further seven-day session, so an unused grant redeemed on its last day can run to fourteen.
To end it before the seven days, reopen the same Grant Access dialog and select Revoke Access on the active grant. That takes effect immediately.
Good to know
Portal settings are blocked during a support session. The AI chat is not, so treat a grant as access to act rather than only to look, and revoke it when the investigation is over.
Only one grant can exist at a time. Generating a second is refused while the first is active, which means a code you regret has to be revoked rather than superseded.
Verify it worked
Confirm with support that they were able to get in.
Check the dialog afterwards. An active grant shows when it expires and who used it.
If something doesn’t look right
If support cannot get in, confirm the code was passed intact and has not been revoked.
If the code was seen by somebody it should not have been, revoke it and generate another. Generating first will be refused.
If you no longer need the access, revoke it rather than letting it run its seven days.
To ask about any of this, open a support conversation from the Help drawer.
FAQ
Q: How long does it last?
A: Seven days to redeem, then a further seven once redeemed, unless you revoke it sooner.
Q: Can support change anything?
A: Not through the portal settings. They can use the AI chat as you, so a change is possible there.
Q: Can I generate a replacement code?
A: Not while one is active. Revoke the first.
